Our Shipping & Receiving Policies
And What To Expect With Domain Industries.
You can count on Domain Industries to get your purchased items delivered to you safe and on time. We offer a variety of FedEx delivery options for shipments to physical addresses anywhere in the United States, and LTL Freight delivery for orders that require overweight and pallet packaging.
Domain Industries carefully inspects every order before shipment. All orders are packaged to be as resistant to shipping damage as possible. However, if a damage or shortage has occurred during shipment, it is the customer’s responsibility to note it with the carrier and contact Domain Industries immediately. When you check out and select your shipping address and options, it's a good idea to understand what some of these shipping terms mean.

What To Know When Checking Out.
When checking out, we ask you three simple questions to best determine the type of shipping and handling services that will suit your needs (see image below). Below is a detailed list of definitions to help better explain these questions.
Residential Delivery?
Our system checks to make sure your address is a verified residential address or not. Failure to properly notify us of this on your order when checking out can lead to higher than usual shipping rates and delayed shipping times.
Residential Address
Carriers define a business zone as a location that opens and closes to the public at set times every day. If you are a business located in a residential zone (among personal homes or dwellings), or your shipping address is a home, the carrier may charge an additional residential fee. When obtaining quotes through our system, select 'Residential Address' and the carrier's residential fee will be included in your quotes.
Life Gate Service
When the destination location does not have a loading dock, manual unloading is necessary. This may requires a lift gate, which is a motorized platform attached to the back of certain trucks that can raise a shipment from the ground up to the truck trailer or vice versa. When obtaining quotes through our system, select 'Lift Gate' and the carrier's lift gate fee will be included in your quotes.
Inside Delivery
If the driver is required to go inside (beyond the front door or loading dock), to deliver your shipment, instead of remaining at the dock or truck, additional fees will be charged. When obtaining quotes through our system, select 'Inside Delivery' and the carrier's fee will be included in your quotes.

Only The Best Shipping And Freight Carriers
Domain offers many options for popular shipping and freight carriers. Orders will be shipped via FedEx, USPS, or LTL truck carrier. Overnight and 2nd day air delivery is available for non-truckload shipments. Due to federal regulations, all hazmat items will be shipped by ground carrier only and extra charges may apply.
Transit Times For Your Order
Transit times will be specified when you place your order. Remember that most transit times for FedEx Ground and LTL/Freight services are a best guess and approximate time frame that come directly from FedEx and the LTL/Freight Service Providers (not Domain). The only guaranteed transit and arrival times are FedEx Express and rush services. To get a better idea of transit times for FedEx Ground orders, please see our FedEx Ground transit map
Sometimes Unforeseen Damage Can Occur.
Here Is How To Inspect Your Order.
When Receiving FedEx Shipments
Carefully inspect your package contents immediately upon delivery. Any damage or missing items must be reported within 72-hours of delivery. After this time Domain Industries accepts no liability. To report damage or a shortage call Domain Industries and you will be instructed on how to proceed. Keep all boxes and original packing materials.
When Receiving LTL/Freight Shipments
Do not sign the delivery receipt unless you have unboxed or uncrated your shipment and carefully inspected your entire order for damage or shortage. Any damage or shortage must be noted in detail on the delivery receipt before you accept or refuse your order. If you or your representative do not document this on the delivery receipt, the shipment is considered received in good condition free of any damage or shortage and Domain Industries will not be able to file an insurance claim for you or send you replacement product. This will be your responsibility. For your protection, your signature on the delivery receipt is a legal statement confirming that your order was received undamaged, unless otherwise noted. Please remember that all shipping insurance coverage ends after you have signed the delivery driver’s receipt.
If damage or a shortage is found and noted at the time of delivery, ask the delivery driver for a damage exception number before signing the delivery receipt. Next, immediately call Domain Industries with your order # to notify us of the issue so we can file an insurance claim and determine if replacement product needs to be shipped out.
